301 Portuguese 19th Century Silver Chamberstick


A 19th century Portuguese silver chamberstick. The chamberstick decoration is high relief and features a six branches and leaves in a six corner arrangement. There are stem or grass like decoration at the boundary of the round chamberstick. The work is repeated on the upper sconce. This solid silver chamberstick is from Portugal and is late 19th or 20th century OPORTO with the animal hallmark for the period. There is also a hallmark for the maker although it is not known. The chamberstick has a diameter of 16.5 cm, it is 9.0 cm tall and it weighs 180 grams .
