A mid 19th century sterling Portuguese chamberstick. The chamberstick is in the shape of fluted bowl with the same shape continuing from tray to the top of the candle holder. The chamberstick has a removable snuffer and candle scissors. It is marked on the bottom of the chamberstick, the Snuffer, the scissors and the bobeche with the Oporto sign for the late 19th century but also has a sign for Oporto for 1836-1843. It is monogrammed RBT on the stem. It has a 14 cm diameter, is 115 cm high and weighs in total 350 grams.
