An early 20th century French Bronze chamberstick. The Art Nouveau cast bronze chamberstick has a square shape with a round stand below the square base. The four sides of the base are bent out and downwards while the center part of the base is dipped and is lower than the sides of the base. This unique structure gives the chamberstick a special shape. The sides of the base and the candle holder are decorated with a flowery design as is the finger holder. The finger holder rises from the center similar to other French chambersticks. The chamberstick is 9.8 cm long with the finger holder extending an additional 4.7 cm. It is 8 cm high and weighs 410 grams.
