A 19th century French bronze chamberstick with a mother of pearl oval container (about 1.5 cm deep). It is repousse decorated with flowers and has two coils ending in a snakes head one on each side of the candle holder. Its handle is an entwined bronze wire. Its length (including handle) is 15 cm, its width is 9.8 cm and its height is 5.6 cm. It weighs 150 grams.
