A 19th century French chamberstick. The chamberstick is of oval shape with fine embossed decoration on the edge of the base and on the handle. The decoration includes leaves and several different kinds of flowers. The rim is bent and becomes the typicl French type handle which. The candle holder is also decrated with the same flowers. The Minerve hallmark is present on the base and the underside of the chamberstick. The chamberstick is 13 cm long, with the handle extending an additional 10 cm, and is 11.5 cm wide. It is 6.5 cm high and it weighs 190 grams.
