320 French 18th Century Silver Chamberstick


An early 18th century French silver chamberstick circa 1720-1740. The small round chamberstick has the typical early French design. It has a round base with a swirl rim, molded detail on the socket and a thumb grip handle with a finger placement. The The thumb grip has a shell design at its end and it has two marks on the handle, one of which could be the mark for Toulouse 1928. The chamberstick is 4.5 cm tall by 7.5 cm wide, and and an additional 6.5 cm to the edge of the handle. It weighs 88 grams.
