198 French 19th Century Brass Chamberstick

A 19th century French bronze chamberstick. The bronze chamberstick is constructed of a bronze wire which surrounds the body of the chamberstick and culminates in the finger holder. The base of the chamberstick has four bronze leaves and four reverse painted scenes. Each leaf has on top, a jewel type decoration with a small semi-precious stone in the middle and beads in each corner. The finger holder also has the same leaf. The four reverse painted scenes on glass are of different buildings in France, including one of the Arc de Triomphe. The chamberstick has a 9.2 cm diameter, is 4.7 cm high and weighs 70 grams.
