A 19th century French gold gilt chamberstick. The chamberstick, gold gilt bronze, is round with a detailed stunning dolphin with carved scales throughout its body. The dolphin has a crown, which serves as the candle holder of the chamberstick, and its tail curves to become the finger holder of the chamberstick. The chamberstick is very heavy weighing 400 grams and is 7.5 cm tall. Its drip pan diameter is 11.4 cm.
