A rolled sheet brass Dutch from the late 17th or early 18th century. It has the most basic sheet brass form. The pan and socket are rolled brass. The handle rivets are probably copper replacements, but the socket rivets are the earlier rolled sheet type. The handle is pierced with a round hole for hanging. The chamberstick diameter is 17 cm., the handle is 15 cm. long and its height is 6 cm. It weighs 240 grams. A similar chamberstick may be seen in “The Lear Collection” #179.
