151 English 19th Century Sterling Chamberstick

An 1819 English sterling chamberstick hollow box type, which was probably mounted on an inkwell and pen stand. It has a repousse floral leaf and vine pattern decorating the borders and the rim of the candle holder. The top of the box which includes the candle holder and the finger holder is removable. The chamberstick is marked with the date letter d for London and the makers mark JA which is Joseph Angell I registered 1811. It has monograms of Carolo Henrico Cox D.D and Henriens Alfredus Napier as well as a family crest of three roosters. The square chamberstick is 5.4 cm wide and 7.3 cm high. It weighs 190 grams.
