An early 1825 English sterling chamberstick from Birmingham. The small chamberstick, 6 cm diameter, has a century, circular base with a decorative embossed border edge rim, and a turned silver column, leading to the original removable sconce. The chamberstick has a triple reeded silver loop handle and an attractive shell thumb piece. It has its original removable candle sconce with matching border rim and its original snuffer. The chamberstick has a full set of English silver hallmarks, the Anchor stamp for Birmingham, the sovereigns duty mark of King George the third, the Gothic letter B for 1825 and the silversmiths initial W&R. Matching hallmarks are on the base rim of the chamberstick, the snuffer and the sconce. It is 8.0 cm long including handle and snuffer, 6.0 cm across and stands 4.9 cm in height, it weighs 70 grams..
