A 19th century Spanish silver chamberstick. The chamberstick has an elegantly raised round base which is raised in sevral stages or steps. The higher part of the base as well as the handle are lightly engraved with a flower like design. The stem of the candle holder has several parts ending in a relatively wide wax dripper. The chamberstick does not have tweezers and it stands on four hollow balls. Its marks cannot be easily read, but the ending “SAS” of one mark could be the hallmark of J. CASAS who worked in Baecelona in 1871. The chambersitck is 11.5 wide, 25 cm long (with the handle) and 11 cm high. Its weight is 220 grams.
