An 1894 American sterling chamberstick. The chamberstick is beautifully decorated with an incredibly reticulated rim that is about 2 cm high and it stands on 4 ball feet. The chamberstick has a nice loop handle with a pierced upward flair and the actual candle holder displays a gadrooned outer edge. The chamberstick may have held a glass insert. The base is stamped sterling and shows the Dominick and Haft hall mark with the date 1894. There is a scripted monogram LL. The chamberstick is 7.5 cm high while the diameter across is 9.5 cm. It weighs 120 grams.
