A 19th century German silver chamberstick. The chamberstick has a round shape and is a plain one with no decorations at all. It has a relatively thick stem and a large candle holder which would fit very large candles. Its bobeche is not removable. Its style is simplistic and even the thumb rest is attached simply to the finger holder. It has a very fine small line pattern on the rim. The candle holder is connected to the base with a screw, a round bolt and a pin to keep it in place which was used in other German chambersticks of the 19th century. It is marked with the number 12 denoting the loth amount 12/16 (750 grade) of the silver. This mark was used until the latter part of the 19th century. It has a 10 cm diameter and is 6.5 cm high, it weighs 90 grams.
