A 19th century cast Iron German Chamberstick. This carefully crafted chamberstick has an oval base with a leaf structure and stands on 4 legs, each of which is a sculptured flower or twig. The stem, which serves as the finger holder, or candle holder is a lovely Grecian style robed figure of a lady standing on a branch. Both hands of the figure hold a branch on which the candle holder rest. This chamberstick is stamped underneath by the Zimmerman company logo “Verlag bei E G Zimmermann of Hanau” with the number 11696. The chamberstick is 11 cm long, 7 cm wide and 15 cm high. It weighs 350 grams.
