An 18th century English copper chamberstick. The chamberstick is a rolled sheet copper frying pan type chamberstick with the candle socket and the handle riveted to the base with copper rivets. The candle socket has a typical early 19th century slit to ease the removal of remainders of candles. The handle, which has a hole for hanging is made in the same manner as the base. The chamberstick has a 12.5 cm diameter with the handle extending an additional 13.5 cm. It stands 3.5 cm high and weighs 100 grams.
