An 1843 English Sterling chamberstick. The chamberstick is a combined sterling and sea shell with the round base forming the stand and stem of the sea shell which acts like a wax dripper. The rim of the candle holder is made of six sterling leaves. The chamberstick and the original snuffer are marked for London and the date letter mark for the year 1843. The silver hallmark TD fpr the maker Thomas Diller 1841-1847 is present on the base and the snuffer. The chamberstick bas has a 5.5 cm diameter while the sea shell is 10 cm wide. It is 9.2 cm high and weighs 130 grams
