An 1835 English sterling chamberstick. The chamberstick has a circular form with the base being formed from beautiful delicate hand chased leaves. Two smaller leaves with a fruit in the center of each leaf adorn the stem of the candle holder, and similar leaves are on the candle holder and the thumb rest. The chamberstick has the hallmarks for Birmingham, JW for the silver maker James Wilmore and the date mark for 1835 , the removable bobeche has the same silver makers and date marks . It is similar to another chamberstick # 217 also made by J. Wilmore. The chamberstick is 10 cm wide, 9.5 cm tall and weighs 140 grams.
