An 18th century French silver chamberstick . The chamberstick is a 16 sided polygon having alternate sides which slightly protrude or recede. It has reeded borders throughout its tray, bobeche and handle. The handle has a decoration of a branch where it joins the tray, and a shell at its end. The removable octagonal sided is also reeded. The chamberstick has the 1750-1760 marks (A with a crown) for Paris on the handle and the bottom of the tray and an additional mark of LIL with a crown on top which is unknown. The chamberstick has an 8.5 cm diameter, it is 19 cm long and is of 5 cm high. It weighs 230 grams.
