217 English 19th Century Sterling Chamberstick

An 1835 sterling English chamberstick. The chamberstick has a beautiful delicate hand chased leaves showing the leaves’ veins on the stem of the candle holder and on the finger holder. The same design can also be seen on the candle holder. The bowl of the chamberstick is divided into 7 sectors each with intricate design of flowers. The chamberstick is marked with the city mark for Birmingham, the makers mark J.W for Joseph Wilmore and the date letter (m) for 1835. The detachable bobeche is also marked with the date and makers mark. The chamberstick diameter is 8 cm and it is about 8cm high. It weighs 90 grams.
