An 1835 Russian silver chamberstick. The chamberstick is round and is decorated with shells and flowers on its rim and on the candle holder. Its thump grip is decorated with a leaf. It has the Russian marks of 88 (0.916 silver content), MK over 1835 denoting Michael Karpinsky, assayer and the year, the silver maker is ???or ?y (un documented) and it has the city sign of Petrograd (St. Petersburg). The marks are at the bottom of the chamberstick and on the candle holder. It is heavy, weighing 325 gms and has a Diameter of 12.5 cms. Its height is 5.8 cms.
