An 1880 American sterling chamberstick. The chamberstick is square, solid and is beautifully decorated. It is completely covered in crisp, raised floral repousse designs. Various types of flowers and leaves can be seen in the profuse design. The rims of the base and bobeche are adorned with a scroll band of design. The finger hold is also well decorated with the same design. It is raised on four claw and ball form feet. The bobeche is removable and there are no monograms.The underside is marked with the old Dominick & Haff hallmark, 1880 and sterling. The square is 12.6 cm and the handle extends an additional 4 cm. It is 5 cm tall and weighs 250 grams
