A 19th century French bronze gold gilt chamberstick. The chamberstick has an oval champlev? enameled base with flowers and branches in various shades of blue, white and black. The branches and edges are gold. A gold gilt bronze cherub is sitting on the base of the chamberstick and is holding the candle holder with one hand, while the other hand rests on the oval base. The chamberstick has a small round wax dripper below the candle holder, which is enameled as is the stem . The finger holder is heart shaped and enameled. The chamberstick has a plain bobeche which is removable. The chamberstick is 14.5 cm long, 8 cm wide and 11 cm high. It weighs 420 grams
