35 American 19th Century Sterling Chamberstick

An 1890’s American sterling chamberstick. The small chamberstick is round with a deep tray profusely decorated with flowers and leaves. Its fine design can be better viewed from the bottom, since the patina covers the inside of the chamberstick. It has a plain candle holder which rises from the center of the bowl. The finger holder is connected to the candle holder. The chamberstick has the mark for the Mauser Manufacturing Co. which operated from 1887 to 1903 when it was absorbed into the Mt. Vernon Silver Smith. It is 8.4 cm diameter, it is 5.5 cm high and it weighs about 60 grams
