A 19th century Continental silver chamberstick. The chamberstick is of the Art Nuveaux style and is profusely embossed throughout the base, the stem and the candle holder. Its base is embossed with leaves, brnches and flowers which continue in the same style as the embossed handle. The stem of the candle holder and the fixed bobeche are also embossed in the same style as the base. The chamberstick has 3 hallmarks of letters: E1G; EG; and P, but although the style is similar to French chambersticks, there is no Minerve hallmark. The chamberstick is 11 cm wide, 16.5 cm long (including the handle) and is 6.3 cm high. It weighs 130 grams
