An 1820 sterling English chamberstick. The chamberstick has a rectangular shape with gadrooned borders on the base, removable bobeche and finger holder. It is nicely decorated on its base, removable bobeche, finger holder and snuffer. The decoration on the base has flowers in geometrical shape with flowers, and branches, while the finger holder has a decoration of a face on the thumb holder. The stem of the candle holder is fluted. The chamberstick and the removable bobeche are fully marked for London, the year 1820 and the makers mark of Rebecca Emes and Edward Barnard. The chamberstick is 8.2 cm long, 5.8 cm wide and 5 cm high. It weighs 40 grams.
