297 Russian 20th Century Silver Chamberstick


A 20th century Russian Silver chamberstick. One of a pair (see #296) of Russian Nephrite jade silver chambersticks. The chamberstick has a lovely green jade round base and a silver (84/96) candle holder, stem and finger holder. The candle holder has a smaller (than the Jade base) silver petal like round base with a round matching stem and a removable bobeche. The finger holder has a flowing flowery shape. The candle holder is screwed to the jade base with a unique small petal like bolt and a red bead The chamberstick silver marks can be seen on the tiny cylinders of the finger holder. The silver marks have the kokoshnik mark of a women’s profile facing the 84 mark at the right, and a triangle. The silver marks are the marks for Moscow with the period dating from 1908-1926. A Cyrillic makers mark of Phi A, on another cylinder could be Alexandr Fuld who worked in Moscow in 1862-1917. The chamberstick has a diameter of 7.5 cm is 6.5 cm tall and weighs 120 grams
