260 French 19th Century Silver Chamberstick

A 19th century French silver chamberstick. The chamberstick is round with its base elevated through several small steps or levels. A very fine decoration is on the third level as well as on the base. The decoration on the main part of the base as well as the candle holder is comprised from rows of polygon or triangular lines (which are typical Napoleon III decorations). The bottom part of the stem is plain while the upper part has the same decoration as the base. The finger holder is similar to typical French finger holders while the thumb rest is more English in form. There is a monogram with a crown above two letters on the base. The chamberstick has the minerve hallmark and a hallmark which is unrecognizable (could be vink). The chamberstick has a 10.8 cm diameter, is 10 cm, high and weighs 200 grams
