253 German 19th Century Sterling Chamberstick

An 1880-1890 German sterling chamberstick. The chamberstick is a Hanau Silver chamberstick, with a delightful square form embossed foliate with two figures. The decoration is repeated on each of the four sides of the chamberstick, the candle holder and removable bobeche are also highly decorated. The chamberstick, has the Geman Hanau makers marks of Karl Kurz and Georg Roth and the 930 silver content, (it is identical except for the bobeche to # 252). The chamberstick was imported to London. The marks of ETB, (Edward Thompson Bryant), F (import) f (date letter for 1901) and the London marks can be seen clearly. Each side of the chamberstick is 6.3 cm length, it is 5.5 cm tall and it weighs 55 grams
