A 20th century American Sterling chamberstick. The chamberstick is of round shape with the base being in two levels. The outer level is raised and embossed with leaves and branches while the inner part (lower than the outer part) is plain and devoid of any decoration. The candle holder and the finger holder are not decorated. The chamberstick is marked BB&B Co, the hallmark for Bailey, Banks and Biddle Company which were silversmiths and retailers and operated in Philadelphia from 1878 on. The chamberstick has a diameter of 9 cm and a height of 3.5 cm. It weighs 40 grams.
