237 English 19th Century Sterling Chamberstick

An 1810-1820 English sterling chamberstick. The chamberstick is a small rectangular chamberstick with the outer edges of the base and the removable wax catcher finished in a floral accented repousse style swirl and scroll motif. The tray and the removable bobeche have somewhat faded hallmarks but the makers mark, and the crown above a faded letter can be recognized. The makers mark T•B&Co can be recognized to belong to Thomas Blagden & Co who worked between 1808 to 1832. The Sheffield crown above an illegible letter can also be seen. The chamberstick is 9.2 cm long, 7.2 cm wide without the finger holder and extends to 9.8 cm with the finger holder. It is 5.3 cm tall and weighs 110 grams.
