An 1887 English sterling chamberstick. The chamberstick is a plain square chamberstick with the corners of the tray bent inwards. The top of the candle holder is a square without the corners which creates similar design on the top and the bottom. It is inscribed with C.D.F. in Gothic script. The chamberstick and original snuffer are marked with the London silver marks, the letter M for 1887 and the makers mark WW over FD for William Thomas Wright & Frederick Davis. The chamberstick has a base of 10.5 cm by 10.5 cm, its height is 7 cm and it weighs 118 grams.
