182 English 19th Century Sterling Chamberstick

An 1848 English Sterling Chamberstick. A very pretty English flower chamberstick with a twig like stem which ends up in the candle holder at one end and twists to become the finger holder in the other end. Three leaves with leave veins are attached to the twig. The chamberstick has the full marks for Sterling, duty, Birmingham, 1848 and Yapp & Woodward maker marks. The detachable bobeche and the snuffer have matching makers mark and the duty mark. The chamberstick diameter is 8.8 cm, its height is 8.2 cm and its weight is 77 grams.
