An 1830-1850 Russian silver chamberstick. The chamberstick is round and its bottom part has 8 sectors which rise up to the rim. Its rim is decorated leaves, flowers and shells. Its thump rest is decorated with a leaf and its candle holder and removable bobeche are also decorated with flowers and leaves. It has the Russian mark of 84 and the silversmith name WIBERG (not documented) on the bobeche. Its rim also has Russian marks in several places (hard to read) which could be MK (denoting Michael Karpinsky, assayer). It has a Diameter of 13 cms. Its height is 11 cms and it weighs 230 gms.
