161 Italian 19th Century Sterling Chamberstick

A ca. 1810 Italian sterling chamberstick. The chamberstick is massive with its rim profusely decorated. Its repousse decoration is of shells, flowers and branches. Its thumb holder also has a shell type decoration, and a place for a snuffer which is missing. The candle holder rises from the tray and ends in a fixed wax dripper. It stands on 4 round balls, which is typical of the period. The chamberstick has the silver mark for Milan for 1810 and for Venice for the Napoelonic period.Its diameter is 13.8 cm with the finger holder extending an additional 6.5 cm, it is 10.4 cm tall and weighs 330 grams
