An 1892 English sterling chamberstick. The chamberstick is round standing on 3 bun feet, and the rim has an upwards folded guard having 16 sectors repeating alternatively in two patterns. The base of the tray is fluted as is the candle holder. The drip pan is wavy. The finger holder has a heart shaped thumb rest. The chamber stick has the date letter for 1892, assayed in Birmingham and the makers mark S.BROS for the Sydenham Brothers. The chamberstick diameter is 9.5 cm, its height is 4.8 cm and it weighs 75 grams.
