A 19th century French silver plate chamberstick. This unique chamberstick has its base cast as Bacchus with grapes and leaves adorning the image. The base is bent to make up the legs of the chamberstick and its end is the handle of the chamberstick. The candle holder which is connected to the handle by two screws, is also decorated with leaves and at ends up at the handle decorating it as a leaf. The edge of the handle has a figure of a head of lion. The chamberstick is 21 cm long from edge to edge, 11.5 cm wide and 6.5 cm high. It weighs 350 grams.
