A 20th century French silver chamberstick.. The chamberstick is of a round shape with a plain base and decorated rim. The base has 8 lines which start at the base and rise towards the stem of the candle holder. The candle holder has 6 perpendicular lines. It is probable that there was a removable bobeche which is missing. The handle has a decoration which is similar but does not match the decoration on the rim. There are Minerve hallmarks on the base, the candle holder and the underside which also has a not well defined maker’s mark. The chamberstick has a 12.5 cm diameter with the handle extending an additional 9.5 cm and is 6.5 cm high. It weighs 200 grams
